Superb Oshe Shango Yoruba, these dance scepters were used in ceremonies related to the worship of the thunder god Shango. Very good condition, original polychromy, beautiful patina of use, the face is blackened unlike the back, probably soot! Quite rare in this quality. Old collection of a French geographer Mr Paris, collected on the spot in the 80's, dating estimated around 1940/50 . Height 47 cm .
