Ritual scepter "Oshe Shango" this component of a handle surmounted by a kneeling priestess as a sign of devotion to the god of thunder. She holds in her hands a small barrel as an offering.
It itself is surmounted by a double ax, symbol of the god of lightning "Shango". It is two-tone and is crossed in its center by a vertical frieze. A snake eating a turtle occupies the space. The whole is crowned by a horned animal (ram?).
The sculpture is fine and delicate and the polychromy is still present for this "Oshe Shango".
