Apron used as a loincloth. This piece of clothing is called "akwalac".
It is made of a piece of fine leather decorated with glass and metal beads. The bead decoration is very codified and can be considered as a language with certain subtleties that emerge according to the clans that make them.
The "akwalac" has nowadays practically disappeared and is no longer used. Rare object.
Fine leather, damaged in places, glass and metal beads.
Toposa people, South Sudan.
