    Large closing knife CHATELLERAULT type
    France end of XIXth century.
    Steel, horn, mother of pearl.
    L. closed : 57cm - L. open : 106,5 - L. of blade : 52cm

    Steel blade of bayonet, slightly curved, with broad back, engraved with the acid. Release by ring on the spring.
    Steel bolsters handle, finished with a rattlesnake tail and a ring for the lock.
    Steel plates decorated with six gold plates painted and separated by mother-of-pearl trimmings.
    Size out of the ordinary.

    Good overall condition. Two cracks, engravings of blade passed
