Made at the end of the 19th century in the Indochinese peninsula, this pair of pewter vases is entirely engraved with sacred chimeric animals such as Phoenixes, Turtles or Qilins (legendary animals symbolizing luck, fertility and protection).
The cylindrical body has a medallion with sinograms.
The neck, slightly flared, has two long dragons forming handles.
These elements rest on a pedestal decorated with scrolls and frieze.
These vases will seduce you with their illustrations of chimeras specific to Asian culture.
