Louis XV sloping desk in rosewood veneer, enriched with marquetry on blackened pearwood.
This period furniture has a flap whose edge is veneered in frieze, and highlighted by a bronze rod godronné. In the center, a composition in light and stained wood inlays represents flowers and foliage as well as a bird and a butterfly. This opening, with two brass dovetail hinges, is equipped with an original functional lock and its adjusted key, as well as a bronze entrance.
The rosewood interior features three identical drawers pulled out by a wooden knob, and a shelf, sliding with a brass tab, giving access to a storage space.
There is also a writing area with a mitered rosewood veneer around the edge. It is darkened with a black lambskin leather embellished with cold gilded vignettes and a central motif.
The top of this desk, topped by a gallery in openwork bronze and scalloped, is inlaid in the same spirit as the sides.
This furniture rests on four curved legs, whose faces are in rosewood veneer and the interiors in rosewood. They are decorated with falls continuing in brass rods and dying on hooves.
The back of this piece is in mahogany, allowing it to be placed in the middle of the room.
