Elegant cut-crystal decanter mounted in solid, partially vermeiled silver. The crystal body is adorned with a sharp-ribbed cut decoration running down to a star-shaped base. The crystal handle, hot-applied to the shoulder, describes a sober curve.
The neck is encircled by a smooth silver frame, the spout slightly curved. The whole is topped by a hinged doucine-shaped lid, topped by an ornamental frétel featuring an armful of finely chased flowers and foliage. The interior is entirely gilded.
The lid and mount bear the Minerve hallmark 1st title (950/1000), as well as the hallmark of the master goldsmith, who has not been identified.
