    OTTOMAN FLINTLOCK RIFLE, DZEFERDAR.
    Ottoman Balkans late 18th century
    Steel, wood, mother-of-pearl, silver
    Total length: 143cm. Barrel length: 111cm

    Fluted barrel, then round, slightly blunderbussed, with mouth ring. The top features floral decoration in gold damascene.
    Flintlock, miquelet-style lock.
    Wooden mounting, entirely covered with mother-of-pearl plates forming varied motifs in several registers.
    Silver fittings with repoussé decoration. Six nasturtiums, two leaves. Silver buttplate.
    Grand luxe rifle in its original condition; a few small missing mother-of-pearl plates, lock to be cleaned.
