    Left-Handed Dagger
    Toledo, Spain

    Steel, brass
    Overall length: 55.5 cm; Blade length: 40.5 cm

    Single-edged steel blade with a guilloché back, false edge, and pointed tip;

    chiseled two-thirds of the way up with scrolling foliage and floral motifs.
    Rectangular blade ricasso with circular cutouts, marked "TOLEDO".
    Steel hilt.
    Triangular guard engraved with scrolling foliage and floral motifs.
    Straight quillons with rings and beads.
    Brass wire grip with four ridges.
    Pommel ending in a button.

    This dagger was used in two-handed combat and was reserved for the so-called "weaker" hand, namely the left hand.
