Made entirely of brass. The base of the bomb is bordered on the front and back by a band decorated with raised moldings on the front, and laurel branches on the back. Mobile visor embossed with two crossed axes linked by a ribbon and framed by laurel branches. Neck cover encircled by a folded rush straddling the outer edge. Crest with fins embossed with ten gadroons and a mask decorated with a flaming bomb, topped by a black horsehair chenille. Brass faceplate, model 1852, embossed with an imperial eagle holding in its talons the spindle of Jupiter glittering on a radiant background surmounting a coat of arms stamped with a naval anchor surrounded by crossed axes with oak and laurel branches, a ribbon bearing the inscription "SAPEURS POMPIERS DE LA MARINE". Brass chinstraps composed of two chinstraps with rosette: each chin strap is composed of a brass plate embossed with scalloped scales in relief, mounted on leather, round rosette embossed with gadroons in relief.
