Louis Aimé Henri, known as Henri Pottin, was a French history painter, genre painter, portraitist, engraver, and lithographer. He studied under the Johannot brothers and François Édouard Picot. He exhibited at the Salon from 1845 to 1864.
Alfred de Musset was a smoker, usually of cigarettes but also of cigars. He is best known as a celebrated French playwright, poet, and novelist from the 1830s to the 1850s.
