    Charming Louis XV-style cookie group depicting a flute lesson after Boucher: a young peasant teaching a shepherdess to play the flute. The scene takes place in a rocaille landscape with a barking dog. Manufacture Nationnale de Sèvres, the sculpture is dated (1902) and signed.

    Ideal to complete an eighteenth-century decoration; these decorative objects are typical of the period, to be placed on a chest of drawers or mantelpiece to complement a clock, or on a festive table for a refined dinner party. It's an ornate piece from every angle, intended to be viewed from all sides, in the center of a table for example, or with its back to a mirror. It's a large-format piece.

    A very large number of cookie groups were produced throughout the 19th century, copying Sèvres. Our group is an authentic piece from the highly prestigious Manufacture de Sèvres. A very fine representation in line with Sèvres' criteria of perfection, with many meticulous details: facial expressions, details of clothing, impressive foliage and petals of roses shaped by hand, one by one.

    Very good condition, with minor accidents (the flute and a finger are missing, as is a toe on the lady's foot). The ensemble remains highly decorative, with the finesse and quality of Sèvres.
