    Coffee pot
    Painted soft porcelain
    Engraved mark D.V
    Dimensions : H. 11 (cm.)
    Mennecy, circa 1760

Very elegant "calabre" pot or teapot. Small in size, it is decorated with blue and old rose bouquets and fillets. The lid is decorated with a fine imitation of a flower.

Probably produced during the Barbin period (between 1754 and 1766), due to the use of a Sèvres form. This piece may therefore have been decorated in Mennecy.

Provenance: Société Industrielle de Mulhouse for over a century, a learned society founded in 1826 by Protestant industrialists, and recognized as a public utility by a royal decree of 1832.

Bibliography: Tendre porcelaine de Mennecy Villeroy by Nicole Duchon, Maury, 2016
