This Terracotta Proof, in the Art-Deco style typical of the early 20th century, represents the Bust of a Young Girl.
The Artist, J.C. Guéro (active around 1920), whose signature is affixed to the base of the neck, has created a Figure imbued with Mysteries.
The gaze, Enigmatic, goes to the right side. The lips are frozen in a neutral expression. The curls of hair frame her face, and fall gracefully over her slender neck.
The whole rests on a cubic wooden base of dark color which contrasts deliberately with the rest of the Sculpture.
We will appreciate the Innocence released by this Girl, the inspiration for a resolutely Simple and Pure Work.
