Important portico clock in white marble, black marble and finely chiseled mercury gilded bronze, with two Corinthian columns surmounted by an entablature supporting four flower vases. Ornamentation of garlands of flowers and bay leaves, foliage and pearls, pendulum in Rhodian sun. A large white enamelled dial signed "Caillaud in Paris" with black Roman numerals, the whole topped by a golden eagle with outstretched wings holding a snake in its talons. The base is decorated with a bas relief in gilded bronze with mercury decorated with a playing putti. The wire suspension movement works perfectly, the mechanism is complete, strikes the hours and a half. Small accidents on the plate, see photos, missing asparagus in a groove on the back.
