Rare powder in solid Mahogany, designed in the spirit of Louis XVI by the Parisian House "Escalier de Cristal". The establishment located in the Palais Royal, and founded in 1804 by Marie Desarnaud, originally specialized in the Creation of Goods combining cut crystal and gilt bronze.
This Small Furniture opens on the front with a Discreet flap, with brass hinges and clasps on the sides. It protects a very Soft Greige color marble. At the back, there is a Removable element in solid Mahogany, with cavities of different diameters and depths, initially allowing beauty products to be stored there.
Below, this Poudreuse offers two identical trays with high edges, thus preventing any accessories that might be found there from falling from the Cabinet.
The whole is held together by very thin uprights whose feet are turned in a spindle, in the style of Louis XVI.
This piece of furniture is mounted at Dovetail, and the "Escalier de Cristal Paris" stamping under its last top certifies that it has benefited from a High Quality of Work and Wood. In fact, it was in 1870 that the French House extended its manufacture to Furniture, mostly copies of the 18th century, with a Precision of Execution such that they are regularly confused with the originals.
