These wall plates were made by the Erdmann Schlegelmilch porcelain factory established in Suhl, Thuringia by Leonard Schlegelmilch in 1861 and named after his father. The factory was successful for many years before World War I, but economic circumstances forced it to close in 1937. The manufacturer’s mark on these plates was used from 1920.
The central decoration is a transfer or a sticker, some wear is to be reported on this area in the form of small scratches. The edges appear to be hand painted. There is a small scratch on the bottom edge of a plate. Please review all photos carefully and contact me if you have any questions.
