Superb two-part diminutive walnut sideboard from the 17th century
Cabinet with 4 doors, 4 drawers and panelled sides
Thick, solid walnut of superb quality
Buffet complete with exceptional, highly-decorated pediment
The base consists of a low plinth, 2 geometrically decorated doors and a large circular "cul de bouteille" molding in the center
Deep drawers in the belt
Panelled sides with 4 triangles and 1 rhombus
The recessed upper body stands on a plinth of 2 drawers, topped by another plinth and 2 doors with the same geometrical decor as those below.
The sides are panelled with thicker triangles and lozenges than those below
The hinges are original, as are the locks and keys.

This piece of furniture is topped by a dentil cornice and features a superb transom-arched pediment decorated with colonnettes, spinning tops and pilasters.
