Superb Japanese shelf in molded and carved beech with asymmetrical frame. The upper shelf features curved, openwork shelves, while the three central shelves are supported by uprights decorated with reeds. The lower shelf rests on four curved, plant-inspired legs. It features inlaid decorations of foliage, butterfly flowers and insects. Very fine original condition and magnificent waxed finish. 1890-1900 period.
