Jacques Adnet is a French architect and designer who graduated from the École nationale supérieure des Arts décoratifs. Icon of the French modernism of luxury and art deco.

He is primarily interested in the design of furniture, usually in light woods, sycamore, lemon or fruit woods. The shapes are classic, balanced, geometric.

These creations are of an elegance that is his own, making the link between modernity and tradition. Avant-garde, he starts to use more and more metal and glass to make seats, bedside tables, and small furniture.

In 1948, he designed a set of furniture whose linear structures are covered with leather.

The national furniture gives him several orders, such as the office of President Auriol in Rambouillet in 1958 and a set of mahogany for the Palace of UNESCO.
