Charming piece of furniture with height of support in Mahogany, Rosewood and solid Teak, coming from Pondicherry, former French trading post of the Indies.
This cabinet, testimony of a bygone era, is composed in front of two doors with teak frames. They are pegged and decorated with two panels in rosewood, with a flat band. The upper panels have a basket-handle top. The door on the right opens with an original lock and key in working order. The left door closes with an iron "top and bottom" latch system. The interior is composed of two mahogany shelves, adjustable on racks (it is possible to add more shelves as you wish).
In the lower part, two drawers, whose fronts are in rosewood, are equipped with a lock and key in working order.
The sides of this beautifully crafted piece of furniture are provided with uprights and crosspieces shaped with a small doucine towards the inside. Five rosewood panels complete each side.
The top of this piece of furniture is made of a single mahogany board.
Its modest dimensions and the nuances of its exotic woods will make this storage unit from India an asset to your home.
