Dessert service in earthenware from Creil and Montereau in the Louis XVI style with a very fine Greek decoration in the Louis XVI style
Lebeuf Millet period (1841 - 1849) with inspiration from Fismes.
Louis-Martin Lebeuf (1792-1854) and Jean Baptiste Gratien Milliet (1797-1875) became the owners of the pottery in 1841.
The English Georges Vernon, father and son, were director and deputy director until 1849: they introduced English soft china to Creil.
This set is typical of this period and has its stamp on the back.
Decor of interlacing, ovals and broken lines in shades of mauve, orange, yellow and green.
Rare colors at this time which betray the English influence of Georges Vernon (Fismes)
The colors are enhanced by hand in slight relief
Service consisting of:
9 dessert plates (d: 21 cm)
4 standing cups (1 high, 2 medium, 1 low)
i.e. a total of 13 pieces
