    Description :
    Chiseled bronze.

These two large bronzes decorated a fountain.
They are two tritons in acanthus sheaths, their intertwined "legs" ending in a coiled volute.
A surprising detail; they carry above their heads an egg in Languedoc marble (a little smaller than a hen's egg).
Although made to be seen from a certain distance, their drawing is very lively, treated like a classical statuary, and we will think of the basins of Versailles, of which these statues have the same quality.

    Condition:
Good used condition, piercings on the back ( original fixings) and old repairs ( copper pegs). The bases are joined.

    Dimensions :
height : 90 cm , width at the arms of the putti : 22 cm.
