Old wrought iron entrance door made up of two leaves + frame and transom.
The door is in very good condition with a Regency style openwork decoration made up of foliage and acanthus leaves. It has no structural defect.
It dates from the construction of the Hôtel Edouard VII (then Brasserie de Genève then Restaurant du Café de Paris) at 38 boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes (near the Palaces Hotel Martinez and Hotel Carlton on the same boulevard), which later became the Dior store, located exactly opposite the Palais des Festivals in Cannes, present in this store until the work carried out in around 1995.
It perfectly reflects the history of the city of Cannes, the luxury and splendor of the Boulevard de la Croisette, and the notoriety acquired by the "French Riviera".
Several other remarkable doors from the same period and in the same style are still present on the Boulevard de la Croisette.
Dimensions: height 357 cm width 150 cm. The windows will be brought by the purchaser.
Before its already exceptional history, this door is worth by its overall harmony and the elegance of its designs, its transparencies and permanent reflections, an entry point of high quality .....
