Gérard Valtier was born in 1950 in Morocco of French parents. At the age of 12, he entered the Beaux Arts of Reims and since then he has never let go of the brush that makes him famous today. Retrenched in the heart of Provence, he makes his works vibrate with a strong intensity.
Internationally recognized for the extraordinary conviviality and optimism that emanate from his works, Gérard Valtier is an undisputed master of movement and light.
Endowed with an uncommon energy, Gérard Valtier stages parties of conviviality, street scenes, and even mystical compositions.
His works remind us of the period of fauvism and impressionism. He has developed with dexterity and a romanticism of his own, what we could call modern impressionism.
His mystical collection, relatively confidential, entitled "The Golden Rose" became an object of covetousness of the great collectors. Through a research on glazes and the mastery of the pictorial gesture, he always tends towards extremes and thus releases his emotions to find his balance.
Gérard Valtier has, to his credit, more than 30 years of creation and exhibitions throughout Europe and the Americas. He is referenced in the main international guidebooks.
