Oil on canvas allegory of SAINT HUBERT signed Françoise d'ORIGNY 1981.
Caption: Françoise d'ORIGNY From an aristocratic family, painter, portraitist, witness of an era that almost no longer exists,
Born in Draveil in the Essonne, Françoise d'Origny grew up at the Château de Villiers. At a very young age, she showed a disposition for painting and made it her profession. She devoted most of her work to portraits, and in 1965 received the Eugène Carrière prize. In the 1970's, she created with her husband, Professor Jean-Claude Simon, a place for meetings and exchanges between researchers and scientists from all over the world, at the Château de Bonas, in the Gers.
