    Vase with a high neck in crystallized ceramic imitating lava by Marius Bessone in Vallauris, polychrome decoration in relief on a speckled gray background. The 50's.

    Marius Bessone (1929-2001)
    Between 1949 and 1954, he studied both industrial technique for architecture and ceramic decoration. He opened his own workshop where, from that moment on, he tested different processes such as crystallization, brown-toned reliefs and volcanic effects with lightly colored grids. He will participate in almost all of the Vallauris biennials as well as in prestigious exhibitions across France and Europe. He opened a workshop in Vallauris, with his wife Huguette, in 1954.
