Superb ovoid vase in Limoges porcelain, signed "Camille Tharaud" under the base decorated with Bacchus and gold threads on a blue background, Art Nouveau period circa 1900/1920.
Camille THARAUD (1878/1956) launched herself with passion into research and development of high-fire enamels, fired at 1400°C, traveling throughout France to find all kinds of minerals and oxides. He created the first decorations by hand on raw enamel in Limoges porcelain.
Camille THARAUD remains the porcelain maker recognized worldwide for his grand feu decorations and sees his works exhibited in the greatest museums.
