Description :
patinated terracotta, carved wood, gilded.
This large group represents two musician angels.
Fernand Cian is a sculptor who worked at the beginning of the XXth century 1920-1950.
In spite of this late work, the quality of his sculpture is very close to that of the XVIIIth century, by the decorative vocabulary of the details, the extent of the volumes.
It is not a work interpreted as one can see however in the XIXth.
We see an angel singing while reading music near an angel playing the flute.
The quality is thus excellent.
