    Louis XVI clock in Turquin blue marble and finely chased and gilded bronzes.

    Triangular in shape, the molded base rests on toupie feet and is beautifully decorated with bronzes featuring scrapers, garlands, foliage and flower scrolls and falls, and in the center, a bas-relief frieze of loves hunting wild boar.

    The enameled dial repeats this floral decor.

    At the base, a figure of Venus holds a dove that a winged love is trying to steal.

    The period wire movement chimes the hours and half-hours.

    Louis XVI period, last quarter of the 18th century.
