Guéridon Table with Rectangular Top in Walnut Veneer and with Cut-Out angles. This top offers Pretty Sorrento Marquetry, in Light Woods and Amaranth. In particular, in the center is a Man in profile wearing a Vegetable Crown. This character is surrounded by a frieze of various shades. On either side, two Eagles with outstretched wings, placed on plinths in Palmettes and Leafy Volutes, complete this Painting. The scene is doubly framed by uninterrupted suites of geometric motifs. The songs on this plateau are also inlaid. The belt, set back, is in Walnut Veneer arranged vertically, and it is embellished with two Lemon Tree Fillets.
This Table rests on a Generously Turned and Molded Central Shaft, finished with four Cut Out legs. Designed in the Restoration style, they are largely eccentric, thus guaranteeing Perfect Stability of the whole. Note also their composition in solid Walnut, where the congeners of this Furniture are more commonly provided with veneer feet.
We will choose this Guéridon Table rather than another, especially for the Finesse and Quality of its Marquetry, as well as for its Various and Harmonious colors.
