Set of 4 Art Deco Hexagonal Repoussé Pewter Coasters Signed B. Fort
What if you could protect your table from spills with Art Deco style?
Created during the Art Deco period (1910-1939), this set of four coasters is a French handcrafted piece, made from a hexagonal wooden base and covered with hammered, chiseled pewter sheets decorated with Art Deco ornamentation.
Signed B. Fort, although relatively private about his life, this artist produced numerous functional folk art objects, but by no means neglected their artistic and decorative aspects. These coasters are proof of their extraordinary quality in terms of detail and functionality, showing very little wear.
Art Deco is truly one of the design periods of the early 20th century that shaped those that followed. Its linearity, sophistication, and especially its naturalistic themes make it a timeless piece in both classic and modern interior design.
Its hexagonal shape, combined with the floral and fountain reliefs, is superb and would be perfect as a coaster or simply as a decorative/collectible object. So don't hesitate, and make them yours!
