France, early 20th century.
Fabric, trimmings, gilt bronze, leather.
Master's cord or baldric for the French Rite Groussier, double-sided; on one side, in blue moiré with embroidered decoration of three stars, the initials J-B, the square and compasses, and a laurel wreath; on the other, in black fabric with an applied decoration of a skull and crossbones.
It is adorned with a golden jewel representing the square and compasses encircling a capital G, secured by a red ribbon.
It comes with its original leather case with a snap closure.
Slightly faded on one side.
