    Gilt Bronze Chinoiserie Table Bell - Late 19th Century
    Elegant table bell in finely chased gilt bronze, resting on three molded feet. The openwork central part is decorated with figures in relief supporting an architectural gallery, inspired by the world of chinoiseries, very much in vogue at the end of the 19th century.
    The lid, richly decorated with foliage, is surmounted by a Chinese figure seated under an umbrella, holding a gong, bringing to the whole an exotic charm characteristic of the oriental taste of the Napoleon III period.
    This decorative piece combines high quality casting and fine craftsmanship. It was once a table bell for the refined, bourgeois interiors of the late 19th century.
    Beautiful antique patina. A decorative and original collector's item.
