RARE AND EXCEPTIONAL MARBLE MARQUETRY ON A SLATE BACKGROUND BY GIULIANO TACCONI DEPICTING A SEASCAPE - SUPPERBE POLISHED - FRAME SIZE 31 X 41 CM

GIULIANO TACCONI" A 20TH CENTURY ITALIAN ARTIST RECOGNIZED AS ONE OF THE MASTERS OF THIS TECHNIQUE

Giuliano Tacconi was born in Grassina (Florence) on September 29, 1939.
His life was the fruit of many experiences working in the craft sector and, in middle age, his choice fell on Florentine mosaics, thus beginning to materialize his ideas.
Tacconi specialized in stonework and at the same time honed his artistic profile, first by attending Florence's Scuola Libera di Nudo for years, then by enrolling in the painting course at Florence's Academy of Fine Arts, where he graduated.

He is a member of the Donatello Group and has taken part in various group and solo exhibitions, both as a mosaicist and as a graphic artist, achieving great critical success.
He is considered one of the finest artists in the technique of marquetry, and many of Maestro Tacconi's masterpieces are appreciated and admired the world over. Particularly worthy of mention are the "La Campagna Toscana", "Via Appia Antica" and "La Pianista" marquetries by Monet.
