Paris - at the Author's - Large quarto, loose sheets, printed cover (publisher's slipcase) - First edition, illustrated with 12 watercolors by Maurice Utrillo reproduced outside the text and in color by Daniel Jacomet, 13 drawings reproduced as headpieces or tailpieces (12 by Lucie Valore and one by Suzanne Valadon) and 7 reproductions (a Crucifixion by Max Jacob, a watercolor by Edmond Heuzé representing the Fratellini clowns, a drawing by Chas-Laborde, a nude of Youki by Pascin, as well as three portraits: André Utter by Suzanne Valadon, Paul Gérard by Leprin and a self-portrait by Suzanne Valadon). The book also includes four facsimile autographs: a letter from La Goulue, one from Max Jacob, and two from Maurice Utrillo. Limited edition of 550 numbered copies. One of 50 copies on Arches vellum reserved for the author with a signed autograph inscription. A few scattered foxing spots and small stains on the slipcase. A fine copy.
