"This book contains 59 original plates by Léon Courbouleix, whose ornaments, text & illustrations have been etched.
Each plate has been printed in several colors on the artist's hand press. The capital letters were enhanced with blue gouache and gold by hand.
The edition comprises:
Five copies on old chine (1 to 5), each containing, in addition to the work, a suite in sanguine, a suite avant la lettre, two original drawings & the proof of two rejected plates.
Fifteen copies on old Chine (6 to 20), each containing, in addition to the work, a suite in sanguine & an original drawing.
Two hundred copies on arches.
