Rare skull cane wearing the 14/18 Adrian helmet. Bronze pommel signed E.Hafferz (with perhaps another spelling)?
Malacca rush barrel. Good condition. Length 85 cm. The helmet bears a lion's head, which corresponds to the 14/18 Adrian helmet from Belgium.
Baron Broqueville, then Belgian Minister of War, ordered in October 1915 the adoption of the French Adrian model 1915 helmet, adopted in April 1915 by the French army.
On November 15, 1915, the first Adrian model 15 helmets were delivered to the Belgian army.
