A beautiful set of two patinated early 17th century bronze mortars (never polished) and a pestle. One with alternating rostrums and chimera heads, the other with chimera heads with a lighter patina, these two beautiful period pieces are accompanied, for the more "recent" one, a few years old, by the pestle which is its own. The oldest with a dark patina and very primitive with its rostrums which mark the end of the Renaissance (a little missing at the foot) alternated with baroque heads, these are authentic pieces and the density of the remarkable bronze, the interiors are preserved and clean. Very pleasant collector's pieces that have become rare, prized by Pharmacists who used them as decoration in the '60s, joining the usual objects of Popular Art
