Large printed cardboard terrestrial globe with its brass meridian circle and its steel equatorial table on a turned blackened wooden foot. It bears the mention "Classical Globe New Edition By Ch. Dien Silver Medal Reviewed in 1849, in Paris at Ch. Dien, Rue des Beaux Arts n°8", mid-19th century, around 1850.

Beautiful scientific instrument, typical of the layout of a man's office at the beginning of the 19th century.
Good general condition, the cardboard is uniformly yellowed, some cracks on the cardboard which add to the charm of this beautiful object of great decoration.
