Pair of Bulul
Couple of Bulul ancestors, rice deities.
They are crouching, arms crossed and hands on knees, in a characteristic position.
Both figures have the same characteristics: same position, same wise facial expression turned towards the ground, their ears are pierced and a small tuft of animal hair, in the shape of a circle, decorates the top of the skull. The sexes are visible.
Only the male figure is pierced between the legs.
These divinities have protective and beneficial powers. Placed in the granary, they are associated with the production of abundant harvests, capable of miraculously increasing the rice before and after storage in the granary.
They are usually inherited by the first child in the family, along with the associated rice paddies.
