USA - Northern Plains - Crow (Apsàalooke)
Before 1880
18,5 cm X 11,5 cm
Deer skin, buffalo skin, sinew, Murano beads, wool, cotton thread.
Small bag to store perhaps the sewing material. The front part in buffalo is older. The pattern in colored lines is typical of the Crow, it is perhaps the reuse of a little girl's leggings? The back part has two original sinew repairs. The wool border looks more recent, as if to modernize an old object.
