<meta charset="UTF-8" />Imposing and rare Kwoma ceremonial hut totem. This type of piece is attached horizontally, figures facing downwards, to the framework of the ceremonial huts or "Haus Tambaran". Here, two minja figures evoke the fertility cult observed during yam harvests. Presence of birds throughout (hornbill?) and an opossum in the central part. Wood and paint. Traces and lack of use. Unique piece. Photos by David & Amélie Godreuil. Approx. 257 x 30 x 30 cm / €3,500 base and shipping included for France / EU €100 / Other countries on request.
