Rare Kwoma ceremonial hut totem collected in the village of Banguis in Papua New Guinea. This type of piece is attached horizontally, with the figures facing downwards, to the frame of the ceremonial hut. Here, a Minja figure, evoking the fertility cult observed during the yam harvest, topped by a hornbill bird. Sold with a presentation base.
