    ANTHROPOMORPHE rocket knife
    Iroquois or Huron culture, Great Lakes region, Canada
    Circa 1850

    H. 38 ; L 4 cm

    Indian knife with thick steel foliated blade, the spindle is in wood carved in a succession of vertical grooves and finished in an anthropomorphic pommel. The bolster is made of a gilded brass ring.
