Inlay on molding
Inlaying is the technique used to produce a limestone piece by molding.
Production time: between 6 and 14 months
A matrix is created; we take an impression of it to obtain its negative mold. The mold is placed under the water of the Petrifying Fountain. Calcite crystals fill the mold. The craftsman's know-how is exercised through daily handling of the molds. He creates perfect cohesion and homogeneity between the limestone crystals. The piece is then removed from the mold. Limestone objects are never retouched or polished. This technique allows us to achieve the finest details.
