Copper vase crafted using the dinanderie technique, with a finely hammered surface, characteristic of the work of Claudius Linossier (1893-1953). The balanced, flared shape and warm, iridescent patina demonstrate the artist's technical mastery. This type of piece is part of the decorative arts revival of the 1920s and 1930s, when Linossier helped establish Lyon as a leading center for metalwork. A student of Jean Dunand, he distinguished himself with a refined and rigorous approach, influenced by the Art Deco movement.
