Vietnam, 1970s, superb and important pair of lacquer panels depicting dragons chasing the sacred pearl in the clouds. This pearl is the symbol of wisdom. The dragons and the pearl are lacquered in black, green, orange and gold on a golden background.
The decor continues on the two panels in order to amplify the effect of the scene. The back of the panels is lacquered black.
Dimensions of each panel: Height 99.9 cm. Width 48.5 cm.
