Barometer-thermometer of Réaumur in gilded, molded and carved wood. The frame is decorated with friezes of water leaves and rows of pearls. It is surmounted by a pediment of agrarian trophies and a basket of fruits and flowers. On the lower part, there is a decoration of leaves surrounded by a ribbon bow. The thermometer is annotated with remarks on the different temperatures to give a tangible equivalent. The highest temperature corresponds to the temperature of Syria. The dial is signed SORMANY, rue de l'arbre sec in Paris.
Time wear to the gilding. Restoration to the inscriptions on the dial. The barometer is in working condition. The thermometer doesn't work anymore.
