Exquisite marquetry work adorns this charming Napoleon III style box, dating from the late 19th century.

It features light and dark wood veneers, mother-of-pearl inlay, imitation blue marble, thuya or amboyna burl, and rosewood. The decorations include allegories of music, birds, a butterfly, and flowers.
Originally, it likely held crystal bottles.

In very good condition, with minor wear consistent with age, possibly micro-scratches, and three small wormholes.

Dimensions: Height 14 cm

Width 16.5 cm at the lid

Ref: 3DHQY3QL9U
